Eric Lerner's final project is now on line. it is a series of five short films, combining 3d character animation with live video shots. I've made two of the film scores, Mr Dejavu and Mr Dreamer, as well as little post-production touches on the other scores, which were made by Ariel Einfeld and Dan weisman.

Most of the tracks were done on in Reason, while Mr Fortune was done by Ariel in audition, and was tweaked and mastered in reason. Mr dejavu has some rhythmic samples that were done in Native instruments Reaktor, and the Casio alarm that is apparent all through the track is from a combinator patch made by EditEd (thanks!). Mr Dreamer is all reason, so is Dan Weisman's Mr Sunken.

An electronic musical instrument which takes Leon Gruenbaum's samchillian concept and defines a possible product design for it.

the samchillian is a new type of musical instrument which uses the concept of keys representing relative notes, rather then fixed notes (as in a piano). an explanation of what that means is aparant in the film.

The challenge was to make a product, which would be aesthetic, ergonomic and could be used on stage. Since this is a new and an unusual type of musical instrument a lot of thought went into defining an new iconic shape but one which still comunicates as a musical instrument.

The film was made by Eitan Shefer (AKA: me) in collaburation with 3d animator extraordinare and motion graphics wizard Eric Lerner.

Dori Regev supplied the academic guidance.

Oded Andman shot some of the photos (main link and those with the model).

Leon supplied the core idea.
